Photographer Spotlight

“Photography has been a passion of mine since my freshman year of high school. I have experimented with many styles in the past and, for a while, was mostly focused on creating editorial-style fashion photos and portraits. Upon coming to Colorado, my free time was quickly taken up by the outdoors. Whether I was camping, hiking, backpacking, climbing, or simply exploring, I would bring my camera with me and try to capture the natural world as I see it. I prefer to include human subjects in my landscapes because it provides a contrast and beauty that a landscape alone sometimes can’t offer. It adds a sense of narrative to an otherwise empty location. I use the human perspective to show the grandeur of the natural environments which I have experienced. Through my photography of the outdoors, I hope to inspire people to look at their natural environment with intentionality and to view the wilderness as the art it is.”
