A Little Trip in a Not So Little Place
Savian Czerny ‘25
“In these photos I have attempted to capture the grandeur of the mountains. When you go out on a backcountry trip, there is inherent risk that must not be taken lightly. The mountains are commanding and powerful, and it is humbling to be in their control. You can only ski what they decide you are able, and with too much greed, the mountain responds with their powerful command of avalanches. Small subjects in the larger frame help remind the viewer of how small and powerless we are in the face of these powerful, yet beautiful landscapes. I hope this project reminds or inspires yourself to be more humble in the future while spending time in the mountains.”
