“I have always been attracted to bright colors, strong forms, and unexpected combinations in my art. I tend to focus on these nuances rather than the meaning or emotionality of a work (which comes together along the way). I've taken a lot of inspiration from natural and organic forms and I think these two pieces could be seen as a meditation on our unique Southwest environment.”
